Account setup — your first 5 minutes

If you’ve just signed up, this page is for you. It covers everything between landing on the registration form and being ready to connect your first WordPress site. Total time: about five minutes.

Step 1 — Verify your email

After signing up at hubbee.io/register, you’ll receive a verification email within a minute. Click the link to confirm your address. Until you verify, you can browse the dashboard but cannot connect sites or push content.

Note: If the email doesn’t arrive within 5 minutes, check spam. If it’s still missing, click Resend on the login screen. Verification emails are sent from noreply@hubbee.io via Resend — whitelist this address if your email provider quarantines it.

Step 2 — Name your workspace

Every Hubbee account starts with one workspace. The workspace is your top-level container — sites, tokens, team members, and billing all live inside it.

1. On first login you’ll see the Workspace Setup dialog
2. Enter a workspace name (e.g., your agency name, or your own name for a solo plan)
3. Pick a slug — this is used in shared URLs and cannot contain spaces
4. Click Create

You can rename the workspace later in Settings → Workspace. The slug cannot be changed once set — pick something durable.

Step 3 — Pick a plan (or stay on Free)

Hubbee starts on the Free plan with no credit card required. You can connect 1 site, push 10 tokens/month, and use all core features.

If you already know you need Pro or Agency, you can upgrade now from Settings → Subscription — but most users wait until they hit the first Free-tier limit. See Plan Comparison for what each tier ships.

Step 4 — Set your profile

Open the avatar menu (top-right) → Profile. Add:

• A display name (visible to teammates and on push activity)
• An avatar (drag & drop a square image, max 2 MB)
• Your timezone (used for scheduled pushes and activity timestamps)
• Email notification preferences

Default email preferences send you notifications for: push failures, billing changes, team mentions. Quieter defaults are available under Settings → Notifications.

Step 5 — Invite a teammate (optional)

If you’re on Pro or Agency, you can invite team members now or later. From Settings → Members → Invite:

1. Enter the teammate’s email
2. Choose a role (Owner / Admin / Member / Viewer — see Roles & permissions)
3. Click Send invite

The teammate receives an email with a link. They create their own Hubbee account, accept the invite, and land directly inside your workspace.

Tip: Solo founders can skip this step entirely. Hubbee works perfectly with one user.
