Refund policy
Refund policy
We want you to be confident buying Hubbee. Different purchase paths have different refund mechanics — here’s the exact picture.
AppSumo Lifetime Deals — 60 days, no questions
AppSumo’s standard 60-day money-back guarantee applies. You’re the customer of AppSumo; refunds are processed through AppSumo, not Hubbee directly.
How to request:
- AppSumo → your account → My Products → Hubbee → Request a refund
- Provide a reason (optional — AppSumo accepts blank for the standard window)
- Refund processes to your original payment method within 5-10 business days
What happens on our side:
AppSumo sends us a webhook the moment your refund is approved. Within a few minutes:
- Your lifetime license is marked
revoked(no longer redeemable, even if you saved the key) - Your account drops to the Free plan (or, if you stacked multiple licenses, to your highest remaining redeemed tier)
- You keep your account, your data, and your connected sites — only paid features stop
- Existing rows over Free plan limits are not deleted; you just can’t add new ones
If you want to keep a paid plan after the refund, sign up for the standard Pro or Agency subscription via Paddle — your data stays put through the transition.
Recurring Pro / Agency subscriptions via Paddle
Two distinct windows apply:
EU/UK customers: 14-day right of withdrawal (BGB §312g / UK CCRs)
If you’re in the EU or UK, you have 14 days from purchase to cancel for any reason and get a full refund. Click Settings → Billing → Cancel & request refund within 14 days of your first payment.
If you used Hubbee in those 14 days (pushed tokens, connected sites, generated assets), German law requires us to ask whether you waived the right of withdrawal at checkout. We always ask — checkboxes are not pre-ticked. If you waived, no refund. If you didn’t waive, full refund.
All customers: 30-day satisfaction guarantee
Outside the EU 14-day window, we still offer a 30-day satisfaction guarantee on first-purchase subscriptions. Email info@hubbee.io within 30 days of your first payment with your subscription ID and a brief reason. We’ll refund and cancel.
After the 30-day window:
Standard subscription rules apply. Cancel anytime via Settings → Billing → Cancel subscription — you keep paid features until the end of the current billing period, then drop to Free.
What happens to your data after a refund
We never delete your dashboard data, your connected sites, or your team after a refund. You stay logged in, the dashboard loads, your sites stay listed.
What changes:
- Plan: drops to Free
- Site limit: enforced at the Free plan’s site count (3 sites)
- Asset limits: enforced at Free quotas
- Some Pro/Agency features become read-only or hidden
If you had more sites than the Free limit allows, the existing sites stay connected and accessible. You just can’t add new ones until you upgrade again or delete some.
WordPress plugin after a refund
The plugin keeps working. It’s GPL v2, you own the install on your site. The Hubbee cloud sees your site move to Free plan and just stops processing pro-tier pushes — your previously-pushed content stays on the WordPress site (you own it).
How long does a refund take?
- AppSumo lifetime: 5-10 business days to your payment method via AppSumo
- Paddle subscriptions: 3-7 business days to your payment method via Paddle
- Hubbee-side plan downgrade: within 5 minutes of the refund webhook
- Account access: instant; never affected by refund
Chargebacks
If you dispute a charge directly with your bank instead of using the standard refund flow, the chargeback flows through Paddle / AppSumo and reaches us as a webhook event. Result is the same as a normal refund — code revoked, plan downgraded, account intact.
We do not contest chargebacks for first-purchase amounts. We may contest chargebacks where there’s evidence of abuse (e.g., chargebacks filed after months of use, after multiple successful pushes, etc.) — in those cases we ask Paddle to mediate.
Edge cases
“I refunded but my plan is still Pro in the dashboard.” — Webhooks occasionally arrive minutes late. Wait 5 minutes, refresh. If still showing the old plan, email support — we manually trigger the downgrade.
“I was on Lifetime, you refunded me, I want to buy a subscription instead.” — Sign up via the regular pricing page. Your account, sites, and data persist through the transition; only the billing changes.
“My team-mate redeemed our code, then they left the company, now we want a refund.” — The original buyer requests the refund through AppSumo. Refunds always flow to the original payment method.
Contact
For any refund question that doesn’t fit the patterns above:
- AppSumo lifetime: AppSumo support is faster — they hold the payment relationship
- Paddle subscription:
info@hubbee.iowith your subscription ID - Hubbee data export before refund:
info@hubbee.io— we can generate a JSON export of all your workspace data on request, no charge
